On Saturday, 2 May 2015 Willow View Academy hosted their first ever Family Fun Day which was a resounding success.  Around 500 Learners and Parents attended the event, and everyone had a lot of fun. The day was jam-packed with activities and excitement.  The purpose of this event was to get to know our Parents better and show-case our School to the community.

Willow View Academy also worked with local businesses to make this event the success it was. It is very important for us to also support the business community in the Bredell area, and build a healthy working relationship with them.

There were a lot of activities to keep the children busy, such as:  Boeresport, Face painting, Jumping castles, Biscuit decorating, Colouring in pictures, Games and Competitions.  The school also arranged Flea market stalls and delicious meals and cold drinks were on sale.

Mother's Day celebrations at Ballito Academy

Mother's Day was celebrated at Ballito Academy on Friday, 8 May 2015.  The morning started with Ryan Doig, the Head, giving a very special message to all the Mothers and welcoming them to Ballito Academy.

There were around 77 Mothers who attended this event. Each individual class from RR to 3 said a Mother’s Day poem and some even sang a song. Loads of moms had tears of joy in their eyes as they were so proud of their little ones. The mothers were treated to a range of delicious cakes and were gifted with very creative works of art. It was a fantastic morning celebrating what Mothers stand for, an incredible time to reflect and give thanks.
